Inspect and ensure all components are secure

Adjust and tighten components as necessary

Important Note for Future Maintenance

Record any observations or issues found during inspection

Adjust belt tension after 24-48 hours of operation

Ensure motor amperage and voltage ratings are checked for compatibility to supply voltage

Route electrical supply through conduit chase between mounting plate and motor compartment

Ensure wiring conforms to local and national codes

Ensure no bending or distortion of fan parts during lifting

Protect fans with special coatings or paints during handling

Disconnect and secure all electrical power to the fan

Ensure the unit is made non-functional (fuses removed, disconnect locked off)

Is the personnel qualified and familiar with local codes and regulations?

Check for oil and dust accumulation on the wheel and housing

Clean the wheel evenly to prevent imbalance

Clean the housing to ensure smooth operation

Lubrication Frequency Assessment

Select the type of service environment

Ensure the use of a good quality lithium base grease, conforming to NLGI Grade 2 consistency

Apply grease to the bearing as per the selected service environment frequency

Is there any unusual environmental condition such as extreme temperature, moisture, or contaminants?

Inspect the bearing for any signs of wear or damage

Is the lubrication process completed successfully?

Disconnect and secure all electrical power to the fan to the 'off' position.

Fasteners and Setscrews Inspection

Check all fasteners and setscrews for tightness.

Does the wheel rotate freely and is it aligned as shown in Figure 5?

Is wheel position correct as preset from the factory?

Adjust wheel and inlet cone overlap by loosening the setscrews and moving the wheel to the desired position if necessary.
