Remove fuses and lock off disconnect

Check for oil and dust accumulation on the wheel

Clean the wheel evenly to prevent imbalance

Clean the housing to ensure smooth operation

Check belts for wear and tightness

Are matched belts used on multi-groove pulleys?

Loosen the tensioning device to remove the belt by hand

Ensure belts are not forced on or off

Adjust belts as per 'Pre-Start-Up Checks' after installation

Inspection and Maintenance Record

Record inspection and maintenance performed

Check for moisture or dirt accumulations on parts

Describe the source of moisture or dirt if found

Rotate the wheel by hand (10 to 15 revolutions)

Ensure the following conditions are met before lubrication

Pump grease slowly until a slight bead forms around the seal

Is the grease conforming to NLGI Grade 2 consistency?

Check for overpacking or contamination

Is additional lubrication required due to extreme environmental conditions?

Disconnect, lock, and tag power source before servicing

Remove fuses and lock off disconnect

Clean exterior surfaces of the motor

Are there grease fittings on the motor?

Is the motor temperature below 104ºF (40ºC)?

Grease the motor according to manufacturer's recommendations
