Perkins Models, every 4000 hours (p.171):

Check mark

854F-34T, 1104D-44T:

Check mark

• Aftercooler core - clean/test

Check mark

GM 3.0L, every 5000 hours (p.172):

Check mark

• Cooling system coolant - replace

Check mark

Perkins 1104D-44T, every 6000 hours, (p.172)

Check mark

• Cooling system coolant extender (ELC) - add

Run this procedureArrow right

3 Monthly Drive Speed ALC1000 Test

Check mark

- Test the Drive Speed - Raised or Extended Position, ALC1000 Models

Check mark

Proper drive function is essential to safe machine operation. The drive function should respond quickly and smoothly to operator control

Check mark

Drive performance should also be free of hesitation, jerking and unusual noise over the entire proportionally controlled speed range

Check mark

Note: Perform this procedure with the machine on a firm, level surface that is free of obstructions

Check mark

This maintenance procedure applies to the following models: S-100, S-105, S-120, S-125, SX-105 XC, SX-125 XC, SX-135 XC, S-100HD, S-120HD, SX-150, SX-180, 2-80/60, Z-135/70 and ZX-135/70

Check mark

S-100, S-105, S-120, S-125, SX-105 XC, SX-125 XC, SX-135 XC, S-100HD and S-120HD

Check mark

1. Create start and finish lines by marking two lines on the ground 40 feet / 12.2 m apart

Check mark

2. Raise the boom to a horizontal position

Check mark

3. Extend the primary boom until the envelope alarm and LED are activated

Run this procedureArrow right

3 Monthly Turntable Level Sensor Test

Check mark

- Test the Turntable Level Sensor - Z-135/70, ZX-135/70, SX-105 XC, SX-125 XC, SX-135 XC, SX-150 and SX-180

Check mark

A properly functioning level sensor (SCON) is essential to safe machine operation. The ECM at the ground controls (CON) monitors the position and angle of the machine using the signal from the level sensor. The level sensor signal is used to control the maximum working height of the primary and secondary booms

Check mark

Note: A digital level will be required to perform this procedure

Check mark

Note: A kit is available through Genie Product Support (Genie part number 58351). This kit includes a digital level with a magnetic base and cable harnesses

Check mark

Note: A properly calibrated digital level is essential to proper machine calibration. Refer to the manufactures calibration information

Check mark

Note: Use the following chart to identify the description of each LCD screen control button used in this procedure

Check mark

Note: Perform this procedure with the booms in the fully stowed position and the axles fully extended

Check mark

1. Place the machine on a firm surface that has a side slope greater than 2° (6.5 inches / 16.5 cm) but less than 5° (16 inches / 40.6 cm)

Check mark

2. Place a digital level that has been calibrated to gravity on the X axis of the turntable

Run this procedureArrow right

2000 Hourly / 3 Monthly Hydraulic Oil Maintenance

Check mark

Hydraulic Oil Inspection

Check mark

Visual inspection of hydraulic oil color (should be a clear, light-honey color)

Check mark

Visual inspection of hydraulic oil appearance (should be clear and not cloudy or visibly distorts the view through the sight glass or container)

Check mark

Visual inspection of hydraulic oil for particles, foreign objects, or other contamination

Check mark

Smell test of hydraulic oil (can smell 'hot' but not 'burnt')

Check mark

Feel test of hydraulic oil (should feel viscous and free of any rough feel due to particles)

Check mark

If the hydraulic oil fails any of the above inspections, the hydraulic oil must be tested by an oil distributor or replaced

Check mark

Note: If the hydraulic oil was not replaced at or before the 2000 hour maintenance interval, the oil must be tested every quarter by an oil distributor until the oil fails the test and is replaced

Check mark

After the oil has been replaced, continue the scheduled quarterly maintenance inspection

Run this procedureArrow right

1 Yearly Platform Overload System Test

Check mark

- Test the Platform Overload System - All Models (if equipped), Except ALC1000, S-60HC, S-80XC, S-85XC and Z-45XC Models

Check mark

Genie specifications require that this procedure be performed annually OR when the machine fails to lift the maximum rated load

Check mark

Testing the platform overload system regularly is essential to safe machine operation. Continued use of an improperly operating platform overload system could result in the system not sensing an overloaded platform condition. Machine stability could be compromised resulting in the machine tipping over

Check mark

This maintenance procedure applies to the following models: S-40, S-45, S-60, S-65, S-80, S-85, Z-45/25 (J), Z-51/30J, Z-30/20N (RJ), Z-34/22, Z-34/22 (N), Z-34/22 IC, Z-40/23N (RJ), Z-45/25 (J) DC, 2-45/25 (J) Bi-Energy, Z-60 DC/FE, Z-62/40 and models equipped with the 340 kg capacity option

Check mark

Note: Perform this procedure with the boom fully retracted and in the stowed position and with the machine on a firm, level surface

Check mark

1. Remove all weight, tools, accessories and equipment from the platform

Check mark

Note: Failure to remove all weight, tools and accessories from the platform will result in an inaccurate test

Check mark

2 Engine Models: Turn the key switch to ground control and pull out the red Emergency Stop button to the on position at both the ground and platform controls. Start the engine from the ground controls and level the platform. Do not turn the engine off

Check mark

DC Models: Turn the key switch to ground controls and pull out the red Emergency Stop button to the on position at both the ground and platform controls. Level the platform
