Genie Articulated Boom Lift S-40 TraX

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Loosen the wheel lug nuts without removing them

Block the non-steer wheels and center a lifting jack under the steer axle

Raise the machine 6 inches / 15 cm and place blocks under the drive chassis for support

Remove the lug nuts and the tire and wheel assembly

Check for wheel bearing wear by attempting to move the wheel hub side to side, then up and down

Result of wheel bearing wear check

Remove the dust cap from the hub and the cotter pin from the castle nut

Tighten the castle nut to specification, to seat the bearings

Warning: This maintenance check requires trained personnel with PPE!

If hydraulic oil test failed, proceed to replace the hydraulic oil.

Drain plug from the hydraulic tank removed and tank drained?

Tank filled with the proper hydraulic oil?

Clean up and proper disposal of any spilled oil done?

Note: When replacing the hydraulic oil, it is recommended that the hydraulic tank be cleaned using a mild solvent and all hydraulic filters and strainers be replaced.

Daily Deutz Engine Maintenance Procedure

Check / clean the oil cooler and cooling fins - Deutz D2011 and D436 Models

Replace Fuel filter / separator

Inspect the Tires, Wheels and Lug Nut Torque

Grease the Turntable Rotation Bearing and Rotate Gear

Check the Turntable Rotation Bearing Bolts

Sign off on the boom lift maintenance

Start this procedure with the machine in the fully stowed position

Turn the key switch to platform control and pull out the red Emergency Stop button to the on position at both the ground and platform controls

Start the engine from the platform controls

Move the yellow bumper at the bottom of the platform 4 inches/10 cm in any direction

Activate each function control handle or toggle switch

Extend the primary boom approximately 3 ft / 1 m

Move the yellow bumper at the bottom of the platform 4 inches/10 cm in any direction

Activate each function control handle or toggle switch

Activate and hold the aircraft protection override switch
