Is the external housing temperature within the maximum limit?

Oil Specifications and Preparation

Select the recommended lubricant used

Is the bearing housing operating temperature under 71°C (160°F)?

Is the external housing temperature below 94°C (200°F)?

Stop the pump and lock the motor.

Remove the pipe plug from both the inboard and outboard bearing locations.

Enter the amount of grease for Group 2 inboard bearing (cm³).

6.1 Maintenance schedule / 4.8 Final shaft alignment check

Check coupling alignment and re-align if necessary

Operate the pump for at least an hour or until it reaches final operating temperature

Shut the pump down and recheck alignment while the pump is hot

Check for piping thermal expansion impact on alignment

Verify indicator movement on coupling when any driver fastener is loosened

Confirm satisfactory operation by checking

Record the surface temperature at the bearings

Is the surface temperature within the acceptable range?

Ensure overload prevention measures are in place

Perform routine vibration monitoring

Check and remove dirt from areas around close clearances, bearing housings, and motors

Record the bearing lubricant level

Enter the remaining hours before a lubricant change is required

Is the oil level within the circumference of the center hole in the sight glass?

Is oil visible in the constant level oiler bottle at all times?

Check and fill the oil level when the pump is not operating
