1. Inspect Vacuum Lines and Fittings

• Visually inspect vacuum lines and fittings for physical damage such as brittleness, cracks and kinks. Repair/replace as required.

• Solvent or oil damage may cause vacuum lines tobecome soft, resulting in a collapsed line while the engine is running.

• If abnormally soft lines are detected, replace as necessary.

• Check for loose, dirty or damaged connectors and wires on the harness including: fuel lock-off, TMAP sensor, O2 sensors, electronic throttle, control relays, fuel trim valves, crank position sensor, and cam position sensor.

• Repair and/or replace as necessary.

3. Inspect isolation mounts on engine control module for cracks and wear; replace as necessary.

Start the engine and allow it to reach operating temperatures

Inspect the entire engine for oil and/or coolant leaks

Verify foot pedal travel is smooth without sticking

Check for MIL lamp test at key-on

Does MIL lamp remain illuminated?

Sign off on the daily engine maintenance

!CAUTION: Prolonged and repeated contact with mineral oil will result in the removal of natural fats from the skin, leading to dryness, irritation and dermatitis.

In addition, used engine oil contains potentially harmful contaminants which may cause skin cancer. Exercise caution in order to minimize the length and frequency of contact of your skin to used oil.

In order to preserve the environment, used oil and used oil filter must be disposed of only at designated disposal sites.

2) Remove the oil drain plug, and drain the oil into a container.

2) Check and clean the oil filter installation surface.

The items below are a general guideline for system checks. Refer to the engine manufacturer’s specific recommendations for proper procedures.

WARNING: Never remove the pressure cap on a hot engine.

The coolant level is equal to the “COLD” mark on the coolant recovery tank.

If the system is low, add approved coolant to the specified level.

Sign off on the daily engine coolant maintenance

Inspect Air/Fuel Valve Mixer Assembly

LP mixer inspected as per Chapter 5

Intake throttle assembly and intake manifold inspected for looseness and leaks

Throttle assembly motor housing inspected for coking, cracks, and missing cover retaining clips

Repairs and replacements done for throttle assembly

Sign off on the engine inspection
