1000 Hourly/6 Monthly Pressure Regulator Maintenance
Pressure Regulator/Converter Inspection • Visually inspect the pressure regulator/converter (B) housing for coolant leaks.
• Refer to Chapter 5 if the pressure regulator/converter requires replacement. Fuel Trim Valve Inspection (FTV)
• Visually inspect the fuel trim valves (C) for abrasions or cracking. Replace as necessary.
• To ensure a valve is not leaking a blow-by test can be performed.
1. With the engine off, disconnect the electrical connector to the FTVs.
2. Disconnect the vacuum line from the FTVs to the pressure regulator/converter at the converter’s tee connection.
3. Lightly blow through the vacuum line connected to the FTVs. Air should not pass through the FTVs when de- energized. If air leaks past the FTVs when de-energized, replace the FTVs.;
1 Daily Engine Coolant Maintenance
Warning: Never remove the pressure cap on a hot engine.
Engine is off and cold
Coolant level is equal to the 'COLD' mark on the coolant recovery tank
Did you add approved coolant to the specified level if the system was low?
1 Daily Exhaust & Emission Maintenance
Inspect Engine for Exhaust Leaks
Engine started and reached operating temperatures
Visual inspection of exhaust system performed
Any leaks found in the exhaust system
Describe the location and severity of the leaks found
Length from the post-catalyst sensor to tailpipe is the same as original factory
Wire routing for the oxygen sensors is still keeping wires away from the exhaust system
Visual inspection of the oxygen sensors performed
Any damage detected on the oxygen sensors
Engine Inspection
Inspect Air/Fuel Valve Mixer Assembly
LP mixer inspected as per Chapter 5
Inspect for Intake Leaks
Intake throttle assembly and intake manifold inspected for looseness and leaks
Repairs done on intake leaks
Inspect Throttle Assembly
Throttle assembly motor housing inspected for coking, cracks, and missing cover retaining clips
Repairs and replacements done on throttle assembly
NOTE: Refer to Chapter 5 for procedures on removing the mixer and inspecting the throttle plate.
Fuel System Test
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Upload a photo of the leak check squirt bottle or pump spray bottle
Enter the name of the approved leak check solution used
Sprayed the solution on the fuel system fuel lines and connections?
Waited 15-60 seconds before inspection?
Visual inspection performed?
Any leaks causing the solution to bubble?
Listened for leaks?
Smelled for LPG odor?
