Check compressor RLA against Appendix B values

Is the RLA draw within acceptable range considering load and ambient conditions?

Note any discrepancies in RLA draw

Set all duct dampers to their final position

Operate the unit for 15 minutes before taking readings

Record temperature at supply air register

Record temperature at return air register

Tighten all belts, set screws, and wire connections.

Clean evaporator and condenser coils mechanically or with cold water, if necessary.

Align or replace belts as needed.

Disconnect thermostat wires from terminals Y and W

Place a jumper wire across terminals R and G at TB1 terminal block

Close disconnect switch to operate evaporator fan motor

Measure the evaporator fan RPM using a tachometer or strobe light

Is the measured RPM within the specified range in Appendices A and B?

Turn off the air conditioning unit

Gather cleaning materials (brush, cloth, cleaning solution)

Remove any visible debris from the drain pan

Scrub the drain pan with a brush and cleaning solution

Rinse the drain pan thoroughly with water

Is the drain pan free of algae and fungus?
