Refrigeration Sequence Check
Preparation
Open the disconnect switch
Remove the field connected thermostat wire from terminal R on TB1 terminal block
Place jumpers on TB1 terminal block
Operational Sequence Observation
Close the disconnect switch
Is the 24-volt control circuit energized through TRANS1?
Simulate a mechanical call for cooling by placing a jumper across terminals R and Y of TB1
Is the cooling energized when room temperature is above the thermostat set-point?
Belt Tension And Alignment Adjustment
Initial Inspection
Inspect belt for visible wear or damage
Ensure belt is properly seated in the sheave grooves
Belt Tension Measurement
Measure the span length (t) in inches
Measure the center distance (C) in inches
Measure the larger sheave diameter (D) in inches
Measure the smaller sheave diameter (d) in inches
Measure the deflection height (h) in inches

Ensure the heating system is turned off

Remove the heat exchanger door

Check the color and stability of the burner flames
Reinstallation
Reinstall the heat exchanger door
Gas Unit Maintenance
Inspection & Cleaning
Disconnect power to the unit
Remove furnace section access panel
Inspect all flue product carrying areas for deterioration
Inspect and clean the vent outlet (bird screen) on the access panel
Log CO₂ measurements and observations of the flame
Are the flames stable, soft, and blue without yellow tips?
Do the flames extend directly outward from the burner without curling, floating, or lifting off?
Remove burner assembly
Manifold Pressure Check
Preparation
Ensure the gas valve has a tapped opening for measurement
Use a 'U' Tube manometer with a scale range from 0 to 12 inches of water
Ensure burners are operating during measurement
Disconnect and Jumper Setup
Open disconnect switch
Remove field connected thermostat wire from terminal R, W1, and W2 on TB1
Place jumper wire between R, W1, and W2 to engage high stage heat
For 045 kbtu/hr units, only jumper R to W1
