1 Yearly Burner Flame Inspection
Pre-Inspection Preparation
Is the weather condition suitable for inspection?
Ensure you have the necessary tools for removing the heat exchanger door.
Inspection Process
Remove the heat exchanger door by unscrewing the two screws.
Visually inspect the burner flames.
Post-Inspection
Reinstall the heat exchanger door by securing the two screws.
Was the inspection completed successfully?
Gas Unit Maintenance
Inspection & Cleaning
Disconnect power to the unit
Remove furnace section access panel
Inspect and clean the vent outlet (bird screen) on the access panel
Log CO₂ measurements
Are the flames stable, soft, and blue?
Do the flames extend directly outward from the burner without curling, floating, or lifting off?
Remove burner assembly
Disconnect the wires from the gas valve

Adjust the drive motor sheave pitch diameter for required airflow
Airflow Balancing
Perform air flow balancing using variable pitched motor sheave

Post-Balancing Adjustment
Replace variable pitched motor sheave with a properly-sized fixed sheave
Belt Tension And Alignment Adjustment

Inspect belt for visible wear or damage

Measure the center distance (C) in inches
Measure the larger sheave diameter (D) in inches
