Disengage process operations and relieve all system pressure.

Verify the Power light on the display is “off”.

Remove the lift-off access panel and set aside.

Remove the necessary panels to gain access to the pump motor.

Drain machine by removing the pump casing drain plug.

Understanding the Pressure Switch

Verify the pressure switch is mounted at the bottom of the electrical cabinet.

Is the pressure switch factory set to 20 psi?

Is the water supply pressure sufficient as indicated by the unit’s pressure gauges?

Does the pressure switch fail to close despite sufficient pressure?

Pressure Switch Replacement Procedure

Disengage operations and ensure all system pressure is relieved

Ensure the unit’s pressure gauges read '0'

Verify the Power light on the display is 'off'

Remove the lift-off access panel and set aside

Drain machine by removing the pump casing drain plug

Disengage process operations according to the procedure outlined in section 3.4.

Ensure coolant pressure gauge reads '0'.

Follow all lockout/tagout procedures.

Remove or open any access cover panel and set aside to gain access to the make-up solenoid valve.

Inspect the heater contactor for signs of wear or pitting

Is the heater contactor cycling frequently?

Replace the heater contactor if wear or pitting is observed

Inspect the pump motor starter for signs of wear or pitting

Replace the pump motor starter if wear or pitting is observed

Ensure all components are not overheating
