Check that the power source connected LED and the green battery condition LED are lit

Remove the power cord and run the unit from its internal DC battery

Check for vacuum by occluding the patient tube and set the vacuum regulator to the maximum vacuum setting

Enter the vacuum reading after 3 seconds

Is the vacuum reading ≥ -525mmHg?

Allow the unit to run for 15 minutes on DC power

Did the unit stop or slow during the 15 minutes?

Did the battery condition indicators begin to blink?

Disinfect with mild disinfectant (e.g., 10 to 1 bleach)

Rinse with clear water to remove residue

Remove screws holding the filter door in place

Replace soiled filter with new filter (SSCOR part number 90160)

Keep batteries on continuous charge when not in use

Test the SSCOR aspirator at regular intervals

Ensure the SSCOR aspirator is clean and ready for use

Was there an excessive quantity of fluids produced during the procedure?

Check the vacuum line for evidence of moisture

Is the canister expiration date valid?

Charge the device for at least 8 hours before testing.

Is the battery condition LED green when fully charged?

Ensure tubing is connected to the canister and lid is secure.

Unplug the device and turn it on to start the test.

Record the run time of the device in minutes.

Did the device run for at least 41 minutes?
