Check that the threads on the spindle shaft are undamaged.

Flange Washers and Blade Inspection

Check the contact surfaces for the following conditions

Are the flange washers free from warping, notching, indentations, and dirt?

Are the flange washers of the correct dimensions?

Contact dealer/service workshop if idle setting cannot be adjusted to keep blades stationary

Idle Speed Adjustment Procedure

Start the engine and check the idling setting

Is the cutting blade still while engine is idling?

Adjust Idle Speed Using T Screw

Turn the T screw clockwise until the blade starts to rotate

Turn the T screw anti-clockwise until the blade stops rotating

Vibration Damping System Inspection

Inspect Vibration damping system

Readjust tension of new drive belt after one or two tanks of fuel

Ensure the engine is off and the machine is not started without the cutting arm or cutting head fitted.

Loosen the three nuts (A) holding the upper belt guard.

Turn the belt tensioner (B) to position '0' to release the tension.

Check spark plug for dirt and clean if necessary

Measure electrode gap of spark plug

Ensure spark plug cap and ignition lead are undamaged

Select the condition of the spark plug

Inspect fuel cap and seal for damage

Inspect fuel hose for damage and replace if necessary
