Clean the machine by rinsing it with clean water after the work is finished.

Is the cooling air intake clean?

Clean the cooling air intake if necessary to prevent overheating.

Check that all nuts and screws are tight and inspect the following components

Check the nozzles on the blade guard for clogging and clean if necessary.

Check spark plug for dirt and clean if necessary

Check electrode gap of spark plug

Ensure spark plug cap and ignition lead are undamaged

Inspect fuel cap and seal for damage

Check that the threads on the spindle shaft are undamaged.

Flange Washer and Blade Inspection

Check the contact surfaces on the blade and the flange washers for the following conditions

Are the flange washers free from warping, notching, indentations, and dirt?

Are the flange washers of the correct dimensions?

Ensure the engine is off and the machine is not started without the cutting arm or cutting head fitted.

Loosen the three nuts (A) holding the upper belt guard.

Turn the belt tensioner (B) to position '0' to release the tension.

Contact dealer/service workshop if idle setting cannot be adjusted to keep blades stationary.

Ensure machine is not used until properly adjusted or repaired.

Idle Speed Adjustment Procedure

Check if the cutting blade is still while engine is idling.

Adjust the idle speed using the T screw.

Turn the screw clockwise until the blade starts to rotate.

Turn the screw anti-clockwise until the blade stops rotating.
