Remove the right cover. See “Right cover removal” on page 160.
Remove the left cover. See “Left cover removal” on page 144.
Remove the rear door and cover. See “Rear door and cover removal” on page 205.
Remove the top cover. See “Top cover removal” on page 210.
Sensor and Cable Disconnection
Disconnect the cable JNRW1 from the controller board.
Remove the six screws (A) securing the sensor and upper exit guide to the redrive assembly.

Preparation
Ensure the device is powered off
Gather necessary tools for the procedure
Right Cover Removal
Remove the right cover as per instructions on page 160
Cooling Fan Duct Removal
Remove the screw (A) securing the cooling fan duct
Carefully remove the cooling fan duct
Post Removal Check
Main Drive Gearbox Removal
Remove the left cover
Squeeze the latch and detach the link from the front door
Remove the 4 screws (A)
Remove the main drive gearbox
Disconnect the cable from the main drive gearbox
Remove the spring (B)
Remove the fuser gear (C)
Duplex Gear Assembly Removal
Remove the left cover
Remove the rear door and cover
Remove the power supply
Remove the power supply shield
Remove the duplex
Position the printer so that it sits on its right side
Remove the E‑clip (A)
