Turn off the electrical power to the unit

Turn off the gas supply to the unit

Remove the burner compartment access panel

Remove screws securing burners to burner support

Lift the entire burner assembly from the orifices

Inspect the following components for corrosion, deterioration, or debris deposits

Remove any obstructions or blockages found during inspection

Refer to Figure 5, Figure 6, or Figure 7 for detailed diagrams

Remove the combustion air inducer assembly as described in the Combustion Air Inducer subsection

Clean the flue box with a wire brush as required

Clean the tubes with a wire brush

Replace gaskets during reassembly

Filter Inspection and Replacement

Check the condition of the filters

Is the air flow direction marking on the filter frame noted?

Replace factory-installed filters if within 30 days of initial unit start-up

Replace temporary filters before building is occupied

Refer to local codes or appropriate jurisdiction for approved filters

Were the filters replaced with approved filters?

Check for any damage to the unit after filter replacement

Ensure all necessary tools and materials are available, including a hand grease gun and lithium base grease (e.g., Alvania 3, Chevron BRB2, or Regal AFB2).

Verify that the motor is turned off and properly secured before starting the lubrication process.

Clean the area around the bearing seals to prevent contamination.

Set the hand grease gun to the appropriate pressure setting for the bearings.

Apply grease using the hand grease gun until a bead of grease appears at the seal lip contacts.

Did a bead of grease appear at the seal lip contacts?
