1 Yearly Flue Passage And Vent Inspection
Inspection of Components
Inspect the following components for corrosion, deterioration, or debris deposits
Obstruction Removal
Remove any obstructions or blockages found during inspection

Refer to Figure 5, Figure 6, or Figure 7 for detailed diagrams
2 Yearly Bearing Lubrication
Preparation
Ensure all necessary tools and materials are available, including a hand grease gun and lithium base grease (e.g., Alvania 3, Chevron BRB2, or Regal AFB2).
Lubrication Process
Verify that the motor does not require additional lubrication beyond factory settings.
Check that the blower shaft bearings are prelubricated.
Enter the number of units to be lubricated.
Use a hand grease gun to apply lithium base grease to the bearings.
Did a bead of grease appear at the seal lip contacts after lubrication?

Combustion Air Inducer Maintenance
Preparation
Turn off the electrical power to the unit
Turn off the gas supply to the unit
Disassembly
Remove the appropriate component based on unit type
Disconnect the pressure switch air tubing from the combustion air inducer port
Remove and retain the screws securing the combustion air inducer to the flue box
Remove and retain screws from the bracket supporting the vent connector
Cleaning

Flue Passageway and Flue Box
Remove the combustion air inducer assembly as described in the Combustion Air Inducer subsection
Remove the flue box cover
Clean the flue box with a wire brush as required
Clean the tubes with a wire brush
Reassemble the unit and replace gaskets
1 Monthly Filter Maintenance
Filter Inspection and Replacement
Check if filters need replacement
Take note of air flow direction marking on filter frame when reinstalling filters
Replace factory-installed filters within 30 days of initial unit start-up
Ensure filters are replaced with approved filters before building is occupied
Compliance and Safety
Refer to local codes or appropriate jurisdiction for approved filters
Verify that temporary filters are replaced with approved filters to prevent damage to unit
