Measure idle voltage at the contactor (compressor off)

Measure active voltage at the contactor (compressor starting)

Is the supply voltage not less than the lowest rated voltage for the ice machine?

Measure PTCR resistance at room temperature (50-100°F)

Is PTCR resistance between 25 and 50 ohms?

Measure resistance to ground from PTCR

Is resistance to ground infinite?

Push and release the Harvest button to check the Hot Gas indicator light.

Is the Harvest Assist Solenoid or Motor powered?

Does the ejection pin extend if the ice on the evaporator is thin?

Does the pin press against the ice until it releases from the evaporator if the ice is nearly full sized?

Replace the solenoid if it does not extend with full voltage.

Replace the harness if there is voltage from pin 5 to ground but low voltage at the solenoid harness connection.

Replace the controller if the voltage to ground is low.

Voltage Check for Harvest Assist Solenoid

Shut unit off by holding the Off button for 3 seconds

Is the Water Solenoid indicator light ON?

Shut the unit down by holding the Off button for 3 seconds

Unplug the harness connection from the inlet water valve

Remove right side panel liner and panel

Disconnect ice thickness sensor from its bracket and move out of the way

Perform 4 to 6 strokes across the normal flow of water using a clean nylon scrubbing pad

Test using the controller's indicator lights

Unplug the curtain switch lead from the controller

Connect an ohmmeter to the leads of the switch

Test the controller's curtain switch circuit
