Ice Thickness Sensor Cleaning
Disassembly
Remove the ice thickness sensor from the water distributor bracket.
Separate the metal sensor from the plastic insulator-bracket.
Cleaning
Wipe the sensor with diluted ice machine scale remover.
Scrub the plastic insulator-bracket with diluted ice machine scale remover to remove all traces of mineral build up.
Wipe the wire to the bulkhead with diluted ice machine scale remover.
Rinsing and Drying
Wash all ice thickness sensor parts with clean water.
Water Level Sensor Cleaning
Sensor Removal
Remove Water Level Sensor
Release probes by pushing pins in
Pull down, then lift up to remove probe
Cleaning Process
Clean all dirt and scale from the housing
Clean entire probe, ensuring circled area is clean
Inlet Water Solenoid Valve Testing
Initial Setup
Shut unit off by holding the Off button for 3 seconds
Wait for four minutes
Indicator Light Test
Push and release the On button
Is the Water Solenoid indicator light ON?
Voltage Check
Shut the unit down by holding the Off button for 3 seconds
Unplug the harness connection from the inlet water valve
Sensors Testing
Curtain Switch Testing
Test using the controller's indicator lights
Test with an ohmmeter
Test the controller's curtain switch circuit
Ice Thickness Sensor Testing
Test using the controller's indicator light
Test with an ohmmeter
Test the controller's circuit

Preparation for Cleaning
Ensure the machine is ready for cleaning
Is the cleaning indicator light on?
Initial Cleaning Process
Push the Clean button to drain and refill the reservoir
Add nickel safe ice machine scale remover
Did the Sump Empty light switch on?
If Sump Empty light did not switch on, push off, un-snap the Water Level Sensor, lift slightly, then push Clean again
Flush Out Process
