Park the vehicle on a level surface.

Wait for the engine to cool for an accurate reading.

Check the coolant level in the coolant reservoir.

Is the coolant level at or below the minimum level mark?

Remove the coolant reservoir cap if the level is low.

Add coolant to the maximum level mark.

Remove the cover at the rear of the headlight by pulling it off.

Remove the headlight bulb cover by pulling it off.

Disconnect the headlight coupler.

Unhook the headlight bulb holder.

Wait for the headlight bulb to cool before touching or removing it.

Remove the burnt-out bulb by pulling it out.

Place a new headlight bulb into position, and then secure it with the bulb holder.

Replace engine oil filter cartridge

Check front and rear suspension operation and for oil leakage

Correct suspension issues if necessary

Check steering system operation and for looseness

Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface

Check the condition of all tires

Are all tires the same size and type as recommended?

Park the vehicle on a level surface

Start the engine, warm it up for several minutes, and then turn it off

Place an oil pan under the engine to collect the used oil, and then remove the dipstick

Remove the engine oil drain bolt and its gasket to drain the oil from the crankcase
