Pressure Transmitter Zero Trim Calibration
Calibration Setup
Set up the calibration equipment as per transmitter instructions (see Calibration Setup, page 77)
Zero Trim Procedure
Is zero pressure applied or equal pressures on both sides of a differential pressure transmitter?
Is the transmitter an absolute pressure transmitter with full vacuum applied?
Perform Zero Trim
Post Calibration Checks
Check underrange output value
Check overrange output value
Pressure Transmitter Pressure Calibration
Preparation
Ensure the transmitter is stabilized at the final operating temperature.
Is the FoxCalTM feature enabled?
Pressure Calibration
Apply pressure equal to or near the LRV and enter the pressure for the lower trim point.
Apply pressure equal to or near the URV and enter the pressure for the upper trim point.
Perform a single point calibration (zeroing) with a nonzero pressure input if desired.
Post Calibration Checks
Check if the underrange and overrange output values extend beyond 4 and 20 mA, respectively.
Pressure Transmitter Span Accuracy Calibration
Initial Setup
Select calibration method
Is FoxCalTM feature enabled?
Zero Adjustment
Perform zero adjustment after installation?
Rezero transmitter output at final operating temperature for high accuracy applications?
Rezero transmitter output to eliminate zero shifts from position effects?
Calibration Check
Check underrange and overrange output values extend beyond 4 and 20 mA, respectively.
Pressure Transmitter PV Flow URV Calibration
Initial Setup
Ensure PV is in square root mode
Access PV Flow URV function from Device Setup > Full Configuration > Edit Parameters
Calibration Process
Is FoxCalTM feature enabled?
Perform two-point calibration if FoxCalTM is enabled
Rezero the transmitter output after stabilization at final operating temperature
Check underrange and overrange output values to ensure they extend beyond 4 and 20 mA
Return output to linear mode for zero reading check (DP transmitters only)
Pressure Transmitter Scaled D/A Trim Calibration
Calibration Setup
Connect a digital voltmeter and precision resistor in the output loop
Ensure calibration equipment is set up as described in Calibration Setup, page 77
Trimming the 4 to 20 mA Output
Trim the 4 mA output
Trim the 20 mA output
Check if the FoxCalTM feature is enabled
Rezero the transmitter output at final operating temperature for high accuracy applications
Post Calibration Checks
