Turn off the power supply to the unit and unplug the power cord from the socket.

Locate the fresh air vent behind the front cover and on the backside of the partition panel on the left side of the air discharge area.

Carefully pull out the unit from the sleeve to access the fresh air filter.

Use a screwdriver to remove the Phillip screw to detach the optional fresh air filter.

Choose the cleaning method for the filter

Ensure capacitors are discharged safely to avoid sparking

Verify no live electrical components and wiring are exposed during operations

Check for continuous electrical ground

Is there any fault that could compromise safety?

Ensure no electrical supply is connected until faults are resolved

Ensure cleaning materials are ready (mild soap or detergent, cleaning cloth)

Use mild soap or detergent to clean the frontpanel and frontcover

Avoid using hydrocarbon-based cleaners

Use care when cleaning the control area on the front panel

Ensure the cleaning cloth is not excessively wet

Dry the frontpanel and frontcover with a clean, dry cloth

Inspect the unit by dealer or servicer

Is the unit operated in a dusty climate?

Remove the unit from the sleeve

Remove unit to inspect dirt build-up on the inside of the coil and basepan

Is the coil clogged with dirt and dust?

Is there dirt or algae build-up in the basepan?

Clean the basepan if there is dirt or algae build-up

Ensure the coil is professionally cleaned if clogged with dirt and dust

Clean the outdoor coil regularly
