Inspect all battery connectors and leads for damage and cuts in protective coatings

Check if the battery gates are in position and not damaged

Enter the battery's free play in inches

Is the battery's free play no more than 0.5 inch?

Enter the stopping distance at 2 to 3 mph (3.2 to 4.8 km/h) empty

Did the pallet truck stop within 2 to 4 feet (0.6 to 1.2 m)?

Enter the stopping distance with a rated load and traveling at top speed

Did the pallet truck stop within approximately one and one-half truck lengths?

Any signs of oil on the pads or rotor?

If oil is present, disassemble brake and clean the rotor and pads.

Does the pad gap exceed 0.015 in. (.38 mm)?

Inspect for excessive or uneven wear

Inspect bearings for binding or excessive play

Check adjustment of caster wheels

Sign off on the caster wheels maintenance

Warning: Ensure the truck is OFF and the battery is disconnected before starting the procedure.

Contactor tips inspected for burnt or pitted surfaces?

Plunger checked for smooth operation with no binding?

Report any issues found during the inspection

Sign off on the contactor maintenance

Steering function is smooth and responsive, without binding or excess play

Lift/lower function is smooth and controllable

Travel function is smooth and responsive thru full range of acceleration and braking
