Compensation Systematic Error Adjusting
Level the instrument properly with the plate level
Press the [ADJUST] icon from the main menu
Press the [3AXIS COMPENSATION] key
Press the [ADJUST] key
Collimate target A (around 0° in horizontal within ±3°) in normal telescope setting
Press the [SET] key ten times
Turn the telescope in reverse telescope setting
Collimate target A in reverse telescope setting
Press the [SET] key ten times

Set up the instrument
Enter the distance of clear sights in meters
Is the instrument leveled properly with the plate level?
Sight Point A
Is the telescope pointed in the opposite direction after rotating 180° or 200G around the horizontal axis?
Sight Point B
Is the instrument rotated 180° or 200G around the vertical axis?
Sight Point A again
Sight Point C
Instument Constant Value Seting
Follow the steps below to set the instrument constant value:
Press the [ADJUST] icon from the main menu
Press the [INST. CONSTANT] key
Press the [PRISM] key
Input value
Press the [SET] key
The display should return to the previous menu

Rubber caps removed from the top of the instrument
Hexagonal wrench used to adjust screws A, B, and C
Laser pointer adjusted to coincide with the point of intersection
Screws A, B, and C tightened equally
Rubber caps of the adjustment screws not lost
Operation keys placed on the telescope eyepiece side
Laser pointer turned on
Sign off on the laser pointer optical axis adjustment

Prepare the target
Draw a target on the center of a piece of graph paper or white paper
Set up the target
Distance of the target from the IS in meters
Turn on the instrument
Instrument turned on?
Check the laser pointer's optical axis
Distance of the center of the laser pointer from the point of intersection in mm
Is the center of the laser pointer within about 6 mm of the point of intersection?
