Battery free play not more than 0.5 inch

Brake test at walking speed or less, empty lift truck should stop in 2 to 4 ft.

Brake test with a rated load and at top speed, the pallet truck should stop within approximately six feet

No signs of oil on the friction disc and mating surfaces

Gap between the coil housing and the pressure plate in the applied position

Steering function is smooth and responsive, without binding or excess play

Lift/lower function is smooth and controllable

All UL Type EE rated lift trucks functional?

Forklift operational in dusty or sandy conditions?

Forklift operational in high temperature areas?

Forklift operational in corrosive atmosphere?

Forklift operational in high humidity, wet, damp, or moist conditions?

Sign off on the forklift maintenance

Change fluid and clean magnet on drain plug

Add the specified oil if necessary

Install the fill/level plug securely

If forklift is not operational, report the issues to the maintenance team and stop the procedure

Forklift passed the post-maintenance test?

Sign off on the forklift maintenance

Inspect the brushes for wear and for correct contact with the commutator.

Record the level of wear on the brushes.

Check brush holders for solid connection to the mounting support.

Check the cap screws holding the brush cross connectors to the brush holder body.

Make sure the motor terminals are secured tightly to the motor frame.

Check all the cap screws around the frame for tightness.
