Poweramp Restraint Powerhook KS6

Inspect for damage or abnormal wear

Inspect cylinder pins and mounting holes

Inspect hoses, cylinders, fittings and powerpack

Inspect control box and conduit for damage

Check bumpers for more than 1” of wear

Replace worn, loose, damaged or missing bumpers

Verify the location of the relief valve on the PowerHook valve block

Ensure the relief valve on the pump is not adjusted

Check if equipment replacement is required

Contact Systems, LLC Technical Services for instructions

Provide equipment serial number or customer order number (CO#)

Raise the platform fully and engage the maintenance prop in the service position.

Positioning Cylinder Adjustment

Locate the necessary components

Disconnect the hydraulic hose from the hose fitting on the positioning cylinder.

Cap off the open fittings to prevent fluid loss and contamination.

Remove the keepers from the positioning cylinder trunnion.

Lift up and support the PowerHook cylinder to allow the positioning cylinder to exit the trunnion.

Loosen the jam nut on the threaded rod eye of the positioning cylinder.

Raise the platform fully and engage the maintenance prop in the service position.

Locate the target bar and proximity switch.

Loosen the bolt (D) that holds the target.

Adjust target bar (A) as follows

Repeat adjustment until the lower vertical limit of the top of hook is 8”-9” above the drive.

Hold the target in place and tighten the bolt after adjustments are completed.

Ensure the dock leveler is in the cross traffic position before beginning tests.

Back a transport vehicle with RIG bar into dock or use a test fixture to simulate the RIG bar.

Restraint Engage before Leveler Operate (RELO) Interlock Test

Press the RAISE button and verify the dock leveler does NOT raise.

Did the leveler raise when the RAISE button was pressed?

If the leveler raised, describe the adjustments made to decrease dimension (A) until the leveler does not raise.

Momentarily press the ENGAGE button to activate the vehicle restraint automatic engage cycle.
