Remove the cabinet access panel

Removal of Defective Impeller Fan

Remove the screw attaching the impeller fan support bracket to the base

Disconnect the impeller fan leads inside the electric box

Remove fan/bracket assembly by removing 3 screws from the bracket and inlet ring assembly

Installation of New Impeller Fan

Remove the defective impeller fan from the bracket and replace it with the new impeller fan

Standard Air Filter Maintenance

Check the MERV 11 efficient pleated fabric filter

Remove the filter access panel from the end of the Quest Dual Dehumidifier

Remove the air filter by pulling it straight out

Replace the filter if necessary

Reinstall the filter access panel

Use 3/4” male NPT PVC pipe for drain

Secure the drain port with an adjustable wrench

Is a lift required to dispose of the condensate?

Order condensate pump kit from the factory if needed

Pre-Replacement Safety Measures

Ensure compressor motor circuit tests revealed a shorted or open winding.

Remove and properly dispose of the system charge without venting refrigerant.

Remove the burned out compressor using rubber gloves.

Determine the type of burn out that occurred.

Describe the system fault that caused the burn out.

Remove the cabinet side and the electrical connection cover on the compressor top

Plug in the unit and turn the humidity control to ON

Check for volts from compressor terminal R to overload terminal 3 using an AC voltmeter

Is the correct voltage present?
