Sequence Valve Adjustment
Pre-Adjustment Checks
Check oil level before making any adjustments
Adjustment for High Sequence Valve Setting
Is the leveler fully raised and the lip does not extend?
Remove protective cap and O-ring
Loosen locknut without turning valve body or adjustment screw
Turn adjustment screw counterclockwise to lower the valve pressure setting (1/8 turn increments)
Tighten locknut without turning valve body or adjustment screw
Reinstall O-ring and protective cap and tighten cap

Safety Precautions
Post safety warnings and barricade work area at dock level and ground level
Install the Safe-T-StrutTM before proceeding with any repair work
Suggested Leveler Maintenance
Remove debris on and around leveler
Ensure the hinge section of the lip and the platform is clean
Check unit for proper operation

Flow Control Valve Adjustment
Pre-adjustment check
Check oil level before making any adjustments
Adjustment timing verification
Adjust leveler to lower from full raised position with lip extended to the header stops in the proper time frame
Platform operation
Press RAISE button and run the platform up until the lip extends
Release RAISE button and allow the platform to fall completely below dock and stop
Verify with a stopwatch that the platform falls according to the times in step 1

Check oil level before making any adjustments

Leveler adjustment timing
Adjust Hydra-RiteTM to lower from full raised position with lip extended to the header stops in less than 20 seconds
Adjust Base to lower from full raised position with lip extended to the header stops in 8 to 12 seconds
Remove protective cap and O-ring
Loosen locknut without turning valve body or adjustment screw
Turn adjustment screw to vary platform lowering speed
Tighten adjustment screw to decrease platform speed while lowering
Artd Adjustment
ARTD Limit Switch Cam Adjustment
Ensure the lip stop bolt is properly adjusted. See page 13.
Leveler Preparation
Raise leveler and install a strut securely behind the header or mini-header to allow the lip to hang pendant and rest against the lip stop bolt.
ARTD Cam Adjustment
Adjust collars so the front edge of ARTD cam is 1/16” behind the centerline of the ARTD limit switch. See figure 14.
Tighten front collar while holding the 1/16” adjustment.
Push the rear collar forward as much as possible and tighten. Ensure ARTD cam assembly rotates freely.
