Perform 90-day maintenance tasks

Check and tighten control box mounting hardware

Retorque all shoulder bolts on SAFE-T-LlP®

Lubricate the unit with the proper lubricants

Inspect structure, hinge pins, clevis pins and cotter pins for abnormal wear

Check hydraulic oil level in tank

Inspect all conduit, boxes and electrical connections for damage

Lubricate lip and main cylinder clevis pins

Inspect all weather seals and replace if worn or damaged

Inspect dock bumpers and replace if torn/worn

Engage and secure the SAFE-T-STRUT™

Inspect the hydraulic oil level

Is the hydraulic oil level adequate?

Ensure no one is standing on or in front of the lip.

Engage and secure the SAFE-T-STRUT™ before going under the hydraulic leveler platform or lip.

Confirm that the leveler power is locked out and tagged out according to OSHA regulations and approved local codes.

Verify leveler lowers from full raised position with lip extended to the header stops in 13 to 17 seconds.

Remove protective cap and O-ring.

Loosen locknut without turning valve body or adjustment screw.

Adjust the screw to vary platform lowering speed (no more than 1/8 turn increments).

Ensure no one is standing on or in front of the lip.

Engage and secure the SAFE-T-STRUT™ before going under the hydraulic leveler platform or lip.

Confirm that the leveler power is locked out and tagged out according to OSHA regulations and approved local codes.

Has the shuttle valve been adjusted by a trained technician?

Is the oil level checked before making any adjustments?

Has the unit been cycled 5 to 10 times in extremely cold temperatures to confirm that the velocity fuse does not lock-up?
