Raise the platform fully and engage the maintenance prop in the service position.

Turn OFF all electrical power to the leveler.

Measure fluid level (G). The fluid level should be approximately 3 in. (76.5 mm) from top of reservoir (E) with platform raised on the maintenance prop.

Is the fluid level approximately 3 in. (76.5 mm) from the top of the reservoir?

Is it necessary to add hydraulic fluid?

Raise the platform fully and engage the maintenance prop in the service position

Positioning Cylinder Adjustment

Disconnect the hydraulic hose from the hose fitting on the positioning cylinder

Cap off the open fittings to prevent fluid loss and contamination

Remove the keepers from the positioning cylinder trunnion

Lift up and support the PowerHook cylinder to allow the positioning cylinder to exit the trunnion

Loosen the jam nut on the threaded rod eye of the positioning cylinder

Ensure the dock leveler is in the cross traffic position before beginning tests.

Back a transport vehicle with RIG bar into dock or use a test fixture to simulate the RIG bar.

Restraint Engage before Leveler Operate (RELO) Interlock Test

Press the RAISE button. Did the dock leveler raise?

If the leveler raised, describe the adjustments made to decrease dimension (A) until the leveler does not raise when the vehicle restraint is not engaged.

Leveler Stored before Restraint Release (LSRR) Interlock Test

Momentarily press the ENGAGE button to activate the vehicle restraint automatic engage cycle.

Raise the dock by pressing the RAISE button until the lip is fully extended, then release the button.

Raise the platform fully and engage the maintenance prop in the service position

Locate the target bar and proximity switch

Confirm the position of the target bar and proximity switch

Loosen the bolt that holds the target

Enter the degree of rotation applied

Use an additional means to support the dock platform and lip when working in front of or under the dock leveler.

Post safety warnings and barricade the work area at dock level and ground level.

Wear a hard hat or other applicable head protection when working under or around a dock leveler.

Stand clear of platform lip when working in front of the dock leveler.

Ensure BYPASS mode has not been activated.

Verify light indicators for BYPASS mode.

Momentarily press the ENGAGE button.
