Ensure the pump is completely stopped before handling

Describe any abnormal vibrations or noises detected

Alignment and Running Conditions

Ensure machine is properly stored as per instructions

Has the storage period exceeded 12 months?

Completely replace the lubricant

Inspect and clean bearings if necessary

Inspect O-rings and gaskets and replace if necessary

Inspect mechanical seal integrity and replace if necessary

Record the total working hours of the mechanical seal

Is the mechanical seal within the acceptable life span of 4000 hours?

Was the mechanical seal replaced?

Check the condition of the shaft sleeve if present

Is the shaft sleeve surface damaged or doubtful?

Replace the shaft sleeve if necessary

Pour oil directly into the cruet

Ensure oil is not poured into the elbow of the oil-filler or bearing frame plug

Select oil change frequency based on conditions

Is bearing temperature below 85°C/185°F?
