Use a broad knife to remove the label

Clean the glue residue from the Housing surface

Carefully place the new label where the old one was

Place half of the scale’s capacity in the center of the Pan

Enter the reading from the center of the Pan

Move the mass halfway to the front of the Pan and note any differences in the displayed weight reading

Move the mass halfway to the back of the Pan and note any differences in the displayed weight reading

Move the mass halfway to the left of the Pan and note any differences in the displayed weight reading

Move the mass halfway to the right of the Pan and note any differences in the displayed weight reading

Check maximum allowable change in displayed weight readings for each position

Is the maximum allowable change exceeded?

If exceeded, follow procedures in Section 4.4.5, Adjusting Off Center Load

Lift the battery’s front end to access the quick-connect tabs

Ensure not to short-circuit the battery leads

Pull the quick-connect tabs free of the battery posts

Position the replacement battery in the compartment at an angle

Insert the quick-connect tabs on their respective posts

Place the battery fully in the battery compartment

Wear gloves when handling the mass

Zero the instrument, if it does not read zero

Record reading after placing the test mass on the center of the platform

Remove the mass from the platform

Unplug the cable leads connecting the Load Cell to the PCB.

Turn the scale over and remove the bolts and washers that hold the Load Cell assembly to the Bottom Housing.

Remove the bolts and their washer pairs that hold the Load Cell Frame to the Load Cell using a high-leverage Allen wrench.

Lift the Load Cell away from the frame.

Secure the bottom frame to the load cell with the screws.

Secure the top frame to the load cell.
