Disconnect the plastic ribbon cable from the Membrane Switch to the PCB

Carefully remove the old Function Label or Membrane Switch

Clean the Top Cover and remove all traces of adhesive

Installation of New Membrane Switch

Remove the protective backing from the new Function Label or Membrane Switch

Position the new Function Label or Membrane Switch on the Top Housing using a rolling motion

Ensure communication parameters match between the Indicator and the external device

Connect the external printer or computer to the Indicator

Press the Print/Units button on the Indicator

Did the external printer or computer receive the print command?

Describe any issues encountered during the test

Ensure the following conditions are met

Connect the AC Adapter to the Indicator power plug

Plug the AC Adapter or power cord into a suitable power source

Did the Indicator perform a self-test and display the software revision?

Did the Indicator go into weighing mode?

Unplug the AC Adapter before cleaning

Clean the exterior surfaces of the Indicator

Avoid using chemical cleaners or solvents

Check the Power Cord for broken or damaged insulation

Make a visual inspection for faulty connectors, wiring, and loose hardware

Ensure the device is powered off

Gather necessary tools for opening the housing

Disconnect the cables from the connectors to be replaced
