Remove the cooling water pipes between the heat exchanger and the water pump inlet

Disconnect hose to seawater pump

Unscrew the attaching bolts holding the heat exchanger to the expansion tank

Remove bolts holding heat exchanger cover

Were chemical agents used for cleaning?

Is the red filter service indicator button popped up?

Was the filter element changed?

Unscrew the clear plastic cover on the button.

Push the indicator down to reset it.

Replace the clear plastic cover.

Ensure the engine is shut down before performing the service.

Record the current engine hours

Ensure the following initial changes have been completed

Use a filter wrench to remove old filter

Dispose of filter in approved manner

Ensure the gasket from the old filter is removed and discarded

Lubricate the rubber gasket on the new filter

Screw the new filter on nipple until gasket meets the sealing surface

Tighten filter one-half turn farther using hands only

Ensure engine is turned off and cooled down

Gather necessary tools and materials, including owner-supplied drain hose and suitable container for oil collection

Remove plug from outlet in base frame

Screw in owner-supplied drain hose

Drain oil into suitable container

Close valve after oil has been drained

Ensure all pressure is relieved before disconnecting lines.

Verify all connections are tight and lines, pipes, and hoses are not damaged before applying pressure.

Use a piece of cardboard or wood to search for suspected leaks instead of hands.

If injured by escaping fuel, describe the injury and confirm seeing a doctor immediately.

Loosen the bleed plug on the fuel filter.

Operate the primer pump lever until most air bubbles are expelled and clear fuel escapes the bleed plug.
