Ensure operating temperature is up to 80 °C

Use protective equipment to prevent burns

Place a collection vessel under the oil drain screw or the oil drain tap

Screw out the oil level screw (if present) and the oil drain screw

Screw out the screw plug with dipstick if using an oil reservoir tank

Completely drain the oil from the gear unit

Ensure the workshop is equipped with suitable equipment and qualified personnel.

Verify compliance with national regulations and laws.

Completely dismantle the gear unit.

Clean all gear unit components.

Check all gear unit components for damage

Identify the correct lubricant sensor part number

Screw in the new lubricant sensor

Remove excess grease from the adapter

Activate the full lubricant sensor (see chapter 4.3 'Activating the automatic lubricant dispenser')

Is the gear unit producing unusual running noises?

Is the gear unit experiencing unusual vibrations?

Contact the NORD Service department if unusual noises or vibrations are detected.

Describe the unusual noises or vibrations observed, if any.

Ensure the gear unit is stopped and secured against accidental start-up.

Verify that the recommended grease Petamo GHY 133N - Klüber Lubrication is available.

Check for any signs of existing grease contamination or washing out.

Clean the lubrication points to avoid contamination with foreign substances.

Apply the recommended grease to the bearings.

Was the lubrication process completed without mixing different greases?
