Ensure the workshop is equipped with suitable equipment and qualified personnel.

Is the overhaul being carried out by the NORD Service Department?

Completely dismantle the gear unit.

Component Cleaning and Inspection

Clean all gear unit components and check for damage

Replace damaged parts and all roller bearings

Identify the correct lubricant sensor part number

Screw in the new lubricant sensor

Remove excess grease from the adapter

Activate the full lubricant sensor

Perform visual inspection of the gear unit

Inspect rubber buffers for damage

Inspect hoses for leaks, cuts, tears, porous areas, and chafing

Check for unusual running noises

Re-grease/remove excess grease for applicable options (W, VL2, VL3, AI, AN)

Vent Screw Cleaning and Inspection

Clean the vent screw thoroughly, e.g. with compressed air

Use a new vent screw if the sealing ring is damaged

Check for unusual running noises

If unusual noises or vibrations are detected, contact NORD Service department immediately
