Remove parts for cleaning/sanitizing

Move the ICE/OFF/CLEAN switch to OFF

Disconnect and drain the incoming ice-making water line at the rear of the ice machine

Wait one minute for the water inlet valve to open

Blow compressed air in both the incoming water and the drain openings in the rear of the ice machine to remove all water

Is the ice machine on Safety Shutdown?

Is there a high concentration of minerals in the water?

Has the ice machine been on a regular maintenance schedule?

Turn off the ice machine and unplug it from the power source.

Remove all ice from the machine.

Prepare a cleaning solution as per the manufacturer's instructions.

Clean the interior surfaces of the ice machine with the cleaning solution.

Gather cleaning supplies suitable for stainless steel surfaces

Ensure the area around the ice machine is clear of obstructions

Sponge dust and dirt off the ice machine with mild soap and water

Wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth

Are there any heavy stains on the ice machine?

Remove heavy stains with stainless steel wool, if necessary

Wear rubber gloves and safety goggles (and/or face shield) when handling Ice Machine Cleaner or Sanitizer.

Ensure the use of approved cleaning products

Remove front door and top cover for access.

Set the toggle switch to the OFF position after ice falls from the evaporator.

Remove all ice from the bin/dispenser.

Place the toggle switch in the CLEAN position and wait for water flow.
