Pneumatic and Electrical Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

Ensure blender is pneumatically and electrically locked out

Disconnect compressed air supply

Is the pneumatic valve actuator manually operated?

Use lockout/tagout valve for pneumatic lockout/tagout if applicable

Disconnect blender from air supply if directly connected

Dissipate stored/residual energy from pneumatic system using Manual Operations screen

Is the blender equipped with an electrical LOTO box?

Enter the current air pressure reading

Is the air pressure approximately 5.5 bar (80 psi) for most models?

Is the air pressure 4.1 bar (60 psi) for Micro Blender, 140R, 240R, and 440R?

Ensure the coalescing filter is in place to dry the air

Check for the following issues in the air lines

Pneumatic System Recommendations

Is the air for the blender clean and dry?

Examine Weigh Bin and Hanging Bracket

Ensure no contact with windows or guards

Is there free space on all sides of the weigh bin?

Press down lightly on the weigh bin and note the weight change

Does the display return to the exact weight reading, +/- 1 gram, after removing the touch?

Interference Check and Correction

Was any interference detected with the weigh bin or hanging bracket?

Describe the interference and corrective actions taken

Test slide valve movement during LOTO without air pressure

Check for wear on the slide valve guide rods

Check cylinder clevis adjustment for correct closing of the valve

Check the clevis pin connecting the air cylinder for wear

Inspect mix blades for damage or wear

Replace damaged, worn or sharp mix blades

Check the physical condition of the load cell components

Inspect for any visible damage or corrosion

Record the current zero reading of the load cell

Is the zero reading within the acceptable range?

Record the full weight reading of the load cell

Is the full weight reading within the acceptable range?
