Test slide valve movement during LOTO without air pressure

Do slide valves open and close freely, quickly, and completely?

Check for wear on the slide valve guide rods

Check cylinder clevis adjustment for correct closing of the valve

Does the valve close just enough to block the hole, but no further?

Check the clevis pin connecting the air cylinder for wear

Inspect mix blades for damage or wear

Check that all load cell components are in place

Inspect load cell for physical damage

Is the zero weight reading within acceptable range?

Is the full weight reading within acceptable range?

Enter the current air pressure reading

Select the recommended air pressure for the model

Is the air pressure set correctly for the model?

Check for the following issues in the pneumatic system

Is the coalescing filter functioning properly?

Examine Weigh Bin and Hanging Bracket

Ensure no contact with windows or guards

Is there free space on all sides of the weigh bin?

Press down lightly on the weigh bin and note the change in weight readout

Remove touch and verify the weight returns to original reading +/- 1 gram

Was any interference detected with the weigh bin or hanging bracket?

Describe any interference detected and corrective actions taken

Verify the load cell cable is plugged into the side of the controller.

Confirm the weigh bin is resting freely on the load cells without contact with surrounding objects.

Ensure the air line to the weigh bin’s dump valve is connected as during normal operation.

Check that the load cells and bin are not jammed.

Test bin movement: Light touch on the bin should change the display, and removal of pressure should return the display to its original value, plus or minus 1 gram.
