Is the fan being used for general ventilation only?

Verify that the fan is not used to exhaust corrosive or contaminated air

Verify grease type used in motor bearings

Inspect bearings for wear and tear

Establish inspection schedule based on operating conditions and location

Contact local code authority for inspection requirements

Inspect bolts and setscrews for tightness

Tighten bolts and setscrews as necessary

Inspect belt wear and alignment

Replace worn belts and adjust alignment as needed

Inspect bearings as recommended in the Conditions Chart
