Establish a schedule for inspecting all parts of the fan

Inspection for Corrosive or Contaminated Air

Is the fan exhausting corrosive or contaminated air?

Inspect the fan for signs of corrosion or contamination

Verify that the ACSC fan is used for general ventilation only

Drill two holes with 1/4” diameter

Screw the puller arms into the tapped holes full depth of threads (3/8” to 1/2” approximately)

Align center of puller with center of shaft

Ensure all setscrews in hub are fully removed

Inspect bolts and setscrews for tightness

Tighten bolts and setscrews as necessary

Refer to Torque chart for specifications

Inspect belt wear and alignment

Replace worn belts with new belts

Adjust belt alignment as needed

Is the fan exhausting corrosive or contaminated air?

Inspect fans exhausting corrosive or contaminated air within the first month of operation

Verify that the ACSC fan is not used to exhaust corrosive or contaminated air

NEMA Frame Size: Up to & including 184T

Are there lubrication instructions on the motor nameplate?

Is the motor bearing provided with provisions for relubrication?

Disassemble the motor bearings for lubrication

Use compatible grease for lubrication

Inspect bearings for wear and damage
