10000 Hourly / 3 Yearly Sensors Inspection
General Precautions
Ensure maintenance interval is appropriate for conditions
Contact KSB Service for consultation or queries if needed
Temperature Sensors Inspection
Measure resistance at the core ends of the control cable using an ohmmeter
Check if specified tolerances are exceeded
If tolerances are exceeded, disconnect connection cable at pump set and repeat check inside motor
If tolerances are exceeded inside motor, open and overhaul motor part
Use back-up sensors if original sensors are defective
4000 Hourly / 1 Yearly Insulation Resistance Inspection
Pre-Inspection Note
In demanding conditions (e.g. high mechanical and hydraulic loads) reduce the maintenance interval accordingly. For a consultation or any queries please contact KSB Service.
Ensure the pump set is disconnected in the control cabinet
Use an insulation resistance measuring device with a maximum measuring voltage of 500 V
Measure the winding to chassis ground
Connect all winding ends together
Record the insulation resistance value
Is the insulation resistance of the core ends to chassis ground 1 MΩ or higher?
Measure the winding temperature sensor to chassis ground
5 Yearly Coolant Change
Safety Precautions
Ensure the pump set is in a horizontal position
Take measures to protect persons and the environment when draining the fluid
Observe all legal regulations on the disposal of fluids posing a health hazard
Open the screw plug of the cooling liquid chamber very carefully to avoid injuries
Draining the Coolant
Place a suitable container under screw plug 903.33
Unscrew both screw plugs 903.34/903.35 with joint rings 411.34/411.35 at the coolant filler openings
Undo screw plug 903.33 with joint ring 411.33 and drain off the coolant
Submersible Motor Pump Inspection
Safety Precautions
Wear safety clothing and a protective mask if required
Observe all legal regulations on the disposal of fluids posing a health hazard
Preparation
Close the shut-off element on the suction side
Switch off the drive and ensure it cannot be re-started unintentionally
Close the shut-off element on the discharge side
Inspection Hole Opening
