Wear safety clothing and a protective mask if required.

Observe all legal regulations on the disposal of fluids posing a health hazard.

Has the pump been used for handling noxious, explosive, hot or other hazardous fluids?

Flush the pump if it has been used for handling hazardous fluids.

Flush and clean the pump before transporting it to the workshop.

Collect and properly dispose of the flushing fluid and any residues of the fluid handled.

Observe all legal regulations on the disposal of fluids posing a health hazard

Close the shut-off element on the suction side

Switch off the drive and ensure it cannot be re-started unintentionally

Close the shut-off element on the discharge side

Open the drain plug (auxiliary connection 6B)

Ensure maintenance interval is adjusted for demanding conditions

Contact KSB Service for consultation or queries

Measure resistance at the core ends of the control cable using an ohmmeter

Check if specified tolerances are exceeded

If tolerances are exceeded, disconnect the connection cable at the pump set and repeat the check inside the motor

If tolerances are exceeded inside the motor, open and overhaul the motor part

Use back-up sensors if original sensors are defective

Place a suitable container under screw plug 903.33

Ensure the pump set is in a horizontal position

Unscrew both screw plugs 903.34/903.35 with joint rings 411.34/411.35 at the coolant filler openings

Undo screw plug 903.33 with joint ring 411.33 and drain off the coolant

Check the appearance of the drained coolant

Ensure the pump set is positioned on a level surface and secured against tipping over.

Verify that the pump set is de-energized and secured against unintentional start-up.

Remove screw plug 903.46 and joint ring 411.46.

Connect the pump set to the power supply.

Secure the pump set against tilting.

Fill in 2.1 oz [60 g] of grease via lubricating nipple 636.02.
