10000 Hourly / 3 Yearly Bearings Lubrication

Pre-Lubrication Safety Checks

Ensure the pump set is positioned on a level surface and secured against tipping over.

Verify that the pump set is de-energized and secured against unintentional start-up.

Lubrication Process

Remove screw plug 903.46 and joint ring 411.46.

Connect the pump set to the power supply.

Secure the pump set against tilting.

Start up the pump set.

Fill in 2.1 oz [60 g] of grease via lubricating nipple 636.02.

General Precautions

Ensure maintenance interval is adjusted for demanding conditions

Contact KSB Service for consultation or queries

Temperature Sensors Inspection

Measure resistance at the core ends of the control cable using an ohmmeter

If specified tolerances are exceeded, disconnect the connection cable at the pump set and repeat the check inside the motor

If tolerances are exceeded inside the motor, open and overhaul the motor part

Use back-up sensors if original sensors are defective

Leakage Sensor Inspection

4000 Hourly / 1 Yearly Lifting Accessories Inspection

Check the bail or eyebolt including fasteners for any visible damage

Replace any damaged components with original spare parts

NOTE: In demanding conditions, reduce the maintenance interval accordingly. For consultation or queries, contact KSB Service.

Visual Inspection

Ensure the pump set has been lifted out of the pump sump and cleaned (Applies to installation type K only).

Inspect the power cables for visible damage.

Replace any damaged components with original spare parts.

Checking the Ground Conductor

Measure the resistance between the ground conductor and chassis ground. The electrical resistance must be lower than 1 Ω.

Replace any damaged components with original spare parts.

Safety Precautions

Wear safety clothing and a protective mask if required.

Observe all legal regulations on the disposal of fluids posing a health hazard.

Flushing and Cleaning

Has the pump been used for handling noxious, explosive, hot or other hazardous fluids?

Flush the pump if it has been used for handling hazardous fluids.

Flush and clean the pump before transporting it to the workshop.

Documentation and Disposal

Complete and enclose a certificate of decontamination when returning the pump set.
