Flush the pump if it has been used for handling hazardous fluids.

Flush and clean the pump before transporting it to the workshop.

Collect and properly dispose of the flushing fluid and any residues of the fluid handled.

Be careful when opening the inner chambers

Place a suitable container under screw plug 903.33

Ensure the pump set is in a horizontal position

Unscrew both screw plugs 903.34/903.35 with joint rings 411.34/411.35

Undo screw plug 903.33 with joint ring 411.33 and drain off the coolant

Check the appearance of the drained coolant

Ensure maintenance interval is adjusted for demanding conditions

Resistance Measurement Precautions

Use a commercially available ohmmeter to measure resistance

Avoid excessive test voltage to prevent sensor damage

Measure resistance at the core ends of the control cable

Check if specified tolerances are exceeded

Ensure the pump set has been lifted out of the pump sump and cleaned (Applies to installation type K only)

Inspect the power cables for visible damage

Replace any damaged components with original spare parts

Measure the resistance between the ground conductor and chassis ground

Is the electrical resistance lower than 1 Ω?

Replace any damaged components with original spare parts

Ensure the pump set is not switched on if the ground conductor is defective
