!WARNING: Motor tipping over. Risk of crushing hands and feet!

Suspend or support the motor to prevent it from tipping over.

!NOTE: It is recommended to use a specially designed KSB motor.

Ensure the motor meets the following conditions

Retaining bracket 89-11.03 (if applicable) has been removed.

Align the motor on the drive lantern.

Screw in hexagon head bolts 901.02 or 901.04 and washer 554.02 or 554.04.

!CAUTION: Incorrect installation of coupling. Damage to the machinery!

Use suitable transport devices, lifting equipment and lifting tackle to move heavy assemblies or components.

Reassemble the pump set in accordance with the general rules of sound engineering practice.

Use suitable tools for setting the pump shaft. Consult KSB if necessary.

Replace damaged O-rings with new ones, if required.

DANGER — Excessive Temperatures As A Result Of Bearings Running Hot Or Defective Bearing Seals. Fire hazard! Damage to the pump set!

Lubricant and Bearing Condition Checks

Check the condition of the lubricant regularly.

Check the rolling element bearings for running noises regularly.

Re-lubrication and Grease Replacement

Is the pump design lubricated for life?

Enter the rotational speed of the pump.

Is the pump operated under extreme conditions such as vibrations or high temperatures?

!CAUTION: Incorrect installation of mechanical seal. Damage to the machinery!

Ensure assembly/installation is carried out by qualified specialist personnel.

General Rules for Installing the Mechanical Seal

Remove protective wrapping of contact faces immediately before installation.

Prevent any damage to the sealing surfaces or O-rings.

Insert mechanical seal 433 and O-rings 412.01.

Fit the drive lantern and screw on nuts 920.03.

Ensure the motor has been removed (Refer to Section 7.4.3 Page 38)

Undo nuts 920.03 and lift off the drive lantern

Remove mechanical seal 433 and O-rings 412.01

Ensure the motor has been removed (Refer to Section 7.4.3 Page 38)

Undo hexagon socket head cap screws 914.03

Remove the mechanical seal 433 using tool 969
