Is the fan stored in a humid, dusty, or corrosive atmosphere?

Rotate the fan and purge the bearings if stored in a humid, dusty, or corrosive atmosphere.

Inspect the fan for moisture or dirt accumulations.

Record any inspection and maintenance performed.

Was moisture or dirt accumulation found on parts?

Describe the source of moisture or dirt and actions taken to eliminate it.

Verify all items are accounted for

Inspect each crate or carton for shipping damage

Alert the carrier of any damage detected

Make a notation of damage or shortage on the delivery receipt and bill of lading

Contact your sales representative if damaged

Fan Storage and Pre-Installation

Protect and maintain fans until installation

Inspect fan assembly for working order before full assembly and installation

Run each fan for a complete cycle

Bump each fan if not run completely

Check fan RPM when adjusting operating frequency

Consult manufacturer if operating conditions are changed

Check for wear, tension, alignment, and dirt accumulation on V-belt drives

Are the sheaves free from grooves or wear?

Are all belts being replaced on multiple groove drives?

Loosen belt tension before removing belts

Ensure slack in each belt is on the same side of the drive after replacement

Are new belts installed on non-worn sheaves?
