Tapered Bushing Hub Replacement
Tapered Bushing Removal
Loosen the setscrew holding the bushing and shaft key in place, if present.
Loosen and remove the socket head cap screws fastening the bushing to the hub.
Select the mounting type for socket head cap screws installation
Tighten the socket head cap screws an eighth of a turn at a time, alternating between them until the hub comes loose from the bushing.
Bushing Installation
Clean all surfaces of hub and bushing to remove any oil or residue.
Select the mounting style for bushing installation
Use the keyway setscrew to hold the shaft key and bushing in place, if present, without overtightening.
2000 Hourly Motor Grease Replacement
Safety Precautions
Disconnect and secure all electrical power to the fan.
Ensure the unit is made non-functional (fuses removed, disconnect locked off).
Motor Grease Replacement
Are grease fittings provided on the motor?
Does the motor temperature exceed 104ºF (40ºC)?
Replace the grease if the motor has run for 2,000 hours and temperature does not exceed 104ºF (40ºC).

Loosen tension enough to install belts without stretching

Adjust tension to be equal in both belts

Loosen four fasteners on the drive frame
Ensure motor plate slides on slotted adjusting arms

Ensure the use of a good quality lithium base grease, conforming to NLGI Grade 2 consistency
Apply grease to the bearing
