Disconnect and secure all electrical power to the fan.

Ensure the unit is non-functional by removing fuses and locking off the disconnect.

Are grease fittings provided on the motor?

Is the motor temperature below 104ºF (40ºC)?

Replace the grease in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.

Ensure the following are in place after maintenance

Lubrication Frequency Assessment

Select the type of service environment

Ensure the use of a good quality lithium base grease, conforming to NLGI Grade 2 consistency

Apply grease to the bearing as per the selected service environment frequency

Is the lubrication process completed without any issues?

Describe any unusual conditions or issues encountered during lubrication

Ensure safety precautions are in place around moving parts

Verify the use of high grade lithium base grease

Check hand gun pressure rating (maximum 40 psi)

Is the hand gun pressure within the safe range?

Rotate bearings during lubrication if safe to do so

Apply one or two shots of lubricant with a hand gun

Did a slight bead form around the seal?

Check belts for wear and tightness.

Verify belt type matches the original unit specification.

Loosen the tensioning device to allow removal of the belt by hand.

Adjust belts as shown in 'Pre‑Starting Checks.'

Check pulley setscrews for tightness.

Adjust belt tension after the first 24-48 hours of operation

Adjust and tighten belt as necessary
