Run each fan for a minimum of 30 minutes

Was each fan bumped if not run for 30 minutes?

Check fan RPM when adjusting operating frequency

Consult manufacturer if operating conditions are to be changed

Is there any unusual noise or vibration?

Is there any visible condensation on the fan components?

Verify all items are accounted for

Inspect each crate or carton for shipping damage

Alert the carrier of any damage detected

Make a notation of damage or shortage on the delivery receipt and bill of lading

Was the bill of lading countersigned by the delivering carrier?

Contact sales representative if damage is detected

Record any physical damage to the unit after acceptance

Confirm that building supply voltage matches the voltage for which the unit is wired.

Disconnect and lock-out all power switches to fan.

Check all piping and wiring penetrations made by contractors for water tightness.

Check all fasteners, set screws and locking collars for tightness.

Rotate the fan wheel by hand and assure no parts are rubbing.

Check for bearing alignment and lubrication.

Check the V-belt drive for proper alignment and tension.

Check all guarding for secure attachment and non-interference with rotating parts.

Check for wear, tension, alignment, and dirt accumulation on V-belt drives

Are the sheaves free from grooves or wear?

Are all belts being replaced on multiple groove drives?

Loosen belt tension before removing belts

Ensure slack in each belt is on the same side of the drive after replacement

Measure belt deflection halfway between sheave centers (in inches)

Disconnect the electrical supply

Check tightness of wheel, housing, bolts, and set screws

Remove dirt accumulation from wheel and housing

Check isolation bases for freedom of movement and bolt tightness

Inspect springs for breaks and fatigue
